Cardinal Newman High School

Cardinal Newman High School is a large four storey brick and glass built structure. The schools sloping glass frontage is of unique design. Glass panels are a dominant feature of the building, and this, together with many other expansive angular structures, makes the school a stunning sight. The school is part North Lanarkshire Council’s Lighting Strategy.

The lighting scheme has three elements;

  • 140 12w LED linear fittings illuminating glass window panels. The fittings are controlled via a DMX programmer and sequencer.
  • CDM and fluorescent white light illuminating the upper section and side elevations of building.
  • CDM  filter coloured light illuminating the interior of the glass and metal boilerhouse.

The completed scheme is very impressive indeed.
